How do I add chat transcript scrolling to my chat workspace?

My agents complain that they can't "keep their place" in the transcript while in the middle of typing a response, and the customer continues to submit dialog to them, causing the transcript to scroll down. I was told by my customer success manager that there is a chat transcript scrolling option, and that the config is a simple checkbox, but I cannot find it in config. Any ideas?
