Solved - How can you get only a SSN change to create a W-2c?

edited Apr 12, 2024 10:06PM in Payroll and Global Payroll Interface (GPI) 1 comment

When I did a balance adjustment to the FIT Gross element to the subject withholdable filed, the W2-c with only the SSN update was produced. Summary: In the past I could do a balance adjustment to a field that does not appear on the form, or two balance adjustments to field that do, that in total net to zero and a SSN change would generate a W-2c. Neither of those methods are working now and I can only generate the w-2c in conjunction with a change in income or to taxes which will place inaccurate information on the form. I have seen suggestions to change income by .01 but I would rather not adjust actual results for only a SSN update.

Howdy, Stranger!
