An organisation I support has the "AutoReverse Journals" ESS job scheduled to run every hour.

It was first submitted on 14th March 2024 with the Reversal Period set to Apr24.

When submitted, "Auto Increment" was ticked:

I am confused about how the system determines the Reversal Period for the child jobs - please see sequence of jobs below:

  • When first submitted, the child jobs ran 24 times (for 1 day, once an hour), and the Reversal Period of the child job was the same as that of the parent (Apr24).
