Lockbox EDI823 format not allowing for 80 character length standard to be configured

Summary:

We have a requirement to use EDI823 format which allows for Customer number to be up to 80 characters in length.
According to documentation Oracle has their own version of EDI823 which uses (arlockboximportedi823.ctl) to align to EDI823 format standards.
In configuring this as per screenshots below, we are unable to select a range of more than 10 characters in length.
Since this seemed like a bug, we logged an SR for this (3-36318138401).
However, they seemed confused about the ask or how this (10 character limit) aligns to 80 character length allowed as part of EDI823.

Can you please validate how we can go about meeting this configuration requirement?
