HDL Validation Changes with Quarterly Releases

At least one release per year we see a large spike in HDL errors from interface file loads that used to execute flawlessly. I have to assume that there are some HDL validation changes included in the release. I have checked the release notes, but have not been able to find details about which business objects have been updated and what additional validation is being applied. Has anyone else encountered this and if so, were you able to find details so that you can tailor your release testing (and change the structure of the HDL files, if necessary) before the
