How to create Intercompany Transactions(AP&AR) when AR module is not implemented as we would like to generate AR invoices?

Currently we are planning to implement Supply Chain orchestration ,GL and AP modules. we have a scenario that we may need to create AR invoices within legal entities(not external customers) but not sure whether it is possible to generate AR invoices if AR module is not implemented. Please advise.

We do have the option of passing journal entries directly in GL but customer do not want to go in that route as AR invoice generation is their requirement.
