Can a Business Rule condition be written for Self?

Summary:

Excuse me if the answer is obvious, we're fairly new to using Business Rules! Our requirement is to hide the the grade and salary basis field when the person is viewing their own data, including if they had administrator-level access that lets them see it for everyone else.

Is this possible with Business Rules or should I be looking elsewhere?
