What is the best practice to cancel an Instructor-Led offering / class?

Summary:

Because Oracle lacks the simple ability to just cancel an Instructor-Led class, we are struggling to find a process that accomplishes this. Most importantly, we are trying to find a way to cancel classes while A) Retaining as much data as possible for reporting purposes and B) Alerting users the class is canceled. I am interested to see what other people are using as a standard practice here because we are really grasping at straws here to make this work.

Our current workaround is as follows:

  1. Admin sets Manage Default Access > No Access on offering
  2. Admin adds the word

Howdy, Stranger!
