Learner waitlist status after offering end date is passed

Summary:

We are on 24A.

Setup a course and offering with ILT and Capacity Rules enabled.

Offering Date is from 2024-04-29 to 2024-04-30.

And enrolled few learners to create waitlist.

On 2024-05-01, a day after Offering end date, all waitlisted learner status is changed to "Deleted", which is outlined by,

Log in the system as a learner who was on the waitlist.

Navigate to Me > Learning

The status shows as "Pending Active".

And when I go in, shows "Learning Access Denied".

Question.

Why is the status showing "Pending Active" and then "Learning Access Denied"?

This is very misleading to learners.
