Error while updating serial number for asset in item master org

Summary:

We are migrating IB assets from EBS to Fusion.

In EBS we have thousands of assets in item master org with serial numbers captured for them.

While loading the FBDI with these records, system is giving below mentioned error:

Error Text :You can't associate serial and lot numbers to the asset because the asset operating organization isn't an inventory organization.

Hence we tried to create such records with out serial numbers passed and the asset got created successfully.

Now we are trying to update the serial number manually through UI and we are getting below mentioned error:

How do we create assets in item master as operating org and pass serial number as well?
