Compensation Plan - Approvals task - What is involved in filling in the expiration date?

Hi all,

We would like to know what are the consequences of filling in the "due date" field and performing the “change due date for all manager” action.

Is it for informational purposes only? if the due date is not met does the approval occur automatically or is it rejected?
