What is the impact of renaming a Fusion Analytics DataWarehouse DBaaS Database?

edited Aug 14, 2024 7:25PM in Reporting and Analytics for HCM 1 comment

Summary: We've deployed Fusion Analytics Warehouse as a PaaS service (Version 24.R1.P3). As part of that deployment, the DBaaS instance is created simultaneously, but we didn't get the opportunity to specify the DBaaS Service database name during FAW deployment.

Can we rename that database (both the display, and the actual database name) post-deployment without impacting the Fusion Analytics service? A Database rename will change the database wallet, and the REST URL's used by applications that connect to database tools. Understood. However, does this mean the FAW service, itself, will break if we change the database name? Has anyone changed their FAW Deployment database name, by chance? Thank you!

Howdy, Stranger!
