Opportunity Marketplace - Notifications of opportunities don't match Interests indicated

Summary:

When employees update the Interests section of Opportunity Marketplace and they ask to be notified if an open job meets that interest, the jobs included in the email do not seem to meet the criteria listed in the Interests section. Has anyone else faced this issue? If so, what did you do to resolve it?

I heard it might be that the system looks at all of the values and says if the job meets any of the criteria, the job will be sent.
