Limiting restricted, Confidential and PII fields BI Authors in HCM
Summary:
Our goal is simple: Make OTBI authorship available to as many HR and potentially non-HR employees as possible while being conscious of security.
Example: Make assignment data available to HR and non-HR users such as corporate analysts (e.g. finance) and business analysts, all with various conditions/instances: View Manager Hierarchy; View All Workers; AOR etc. But we don't want them to see restricted fields from Worker folder in most subject areas.
Content:
General rule: Data Security Policy --> Role --> OTBI Subject Area
Data security policies are driven off key business objects, like PER_PERSONS (DATE_OF_BIRTH), PER_NATIONAL_IDENTIFIERS, PER_ETHNICITIES, PER_ADDRESSES.
