can the Job requisitions be automatically created based on requisition template defined in Position?

Can the Job Requisitions be automatically created based on the requisition template defined in the Positions setup if there is a change in Hiring status of the Position? We tried the HDL solution where the details from Position can be extracted and using Job requisition HDL to populate the details from the requisition template. But the details are not automatically populating from the template when using HDL. Is there any other option for this requirement?
