How to know the element is being processed in retro or pay calc at run time

Summary: We are getting retro errors for elements which are not retro enabled, we want to know at real time whether the current process processing the element is Retro or paycalc and based on that to skip the element.

PLease let us know if there is any table which we can refer or any other options to achieve this.
