Pipeline execution stop/reset

When executing/invoking a pipeline (REST) from Groovy if in case the pipeline name is incorrect or if a param or comma is missed the pipeline keeps polling and executing and there is no option to stop/terminate this except for an environment restart. The question is how to reset status of a pipeline and stop an incorrect execution without restarting instance?
