Is it possible to convert the Invoice Group Field to a dropdown option?

Hello,

My organization utilizes the Invoice Group Field in specifying Invoice Type. We have provided a list of the invoice types but are seeing a lot of disparity in what is being put there. Is it possible to make the Invoice Group field a dropdown option instead and load a list of option for our users to search from?
