When looking at the 24B escheatment process, can someone help me understand what the process should be if we come across something that needs reversed?

According to the documentation, we should follow these steps (1) Mark as initially escheated (2) stop pay at bank (3) due diligence letters (4) mark as escheated (5) send to state. When doing some initial testing around this enhancement, when I go to "initiate escheatment", it gives me a warning that it cannot be reversed. So, I am confused on when we should actually be doing the initiate escheatment step. What is the process supposed to be then if someone comes back during due diligence and says 'I moved, send my check here..'. How would we
