Omnichannel routing and bell notification error

Summary:

I've created notification triggers and set my notification preferences utilizing the Assigned example groovy scripts provided by Oracle in the Help Desk Implementation guide. We are utilizing Omnichannel for work assignment routing.

Omnichannel is failing to route the work assignments to the available Agent for the Default queue, however the requestor is receiving a bell notification that the service request has been assigned and this seems to be looped i.e. receiving the same notification multiple times for the same request.

Has anyone experienced similar issue, is this some form of data corruption after publishing the sandbox when setting up my groovy scripts etc.
