Can we have resume date same as suspension date for a subscription product?

Summary:

When a suspended subscription product line is resumed, will it create a new product line from the date it is resumed? Is it possible to have the resume date same as suspension date.? Basically, we do not want to lose billing or revenue during suspension duration and also do not want to extend the contract date.
