Is there an API or SOAP service to update DFF on Receipt Application level

Summary:

We have a requirement to update DFF on an applied transaction for a receipt. How can we insert a value into the 'ATTRIBUTE3' field of the 'AR_RECEIVABLE_APPLICATIONS_ALL' table where the transaction is already applied to a receipt.
