Managing Multiple Brands in Eloqua
As a highly customizable platform, Oracle Eloqua can house separate business units or brands in a single instance. If your organization is considering a single database for multiple teams, there are some things you should discuss upfront.
- Is there overlap in the audiences? If your teams might market to the same contacts, ensure you monitor email frequency to avoid over-mailing. Establish a hierarchy for messaging to prioritize high-value, time-sensitive content.
- Will teams share content? Use security groups to define which users have access to and editing rights on assets created by a given team.
- Can business units see each other’s contacts? If the database will be fully divided, establish contact-level security to enforce access restrictions. With contact-level security in place, each team is prevented from seeing and emailing contacts belonging to other teams.
