Is there a way to preselect UDF fields on the advanced search page in career portal?

Summary: We have a URL for External-Union positions and have the UDF list of unions available on the Advanced Search tab of the career portal, but they are unselected by default and so if the user does not click on at least one of them, all jobs are returned (union and non-union). Is there a way to have the union boxes pre-checked in advanced search?
