Option to enter total duration while recording absence

Summary:

Hi,

The current customer doesn't have a fixed work schedule. They work different hours each week based on the agreement with the manager. Because of this, employee might work 40 hours one week and they will work for 32 hours next week. This is a dynamic scenario and customer is not comfortable to maintain different work schedules.

We have created a default elapsed schedule and attached to all employee. When recording absence, system will show Start Date, Start Duration, End Date, End Duration. If employee has 8 hour elapsed shift and he applies absence for that week, system will fetch the duration from schedule and display on Start and End Duration. Is there a way to capture/override the total duration. Say the employee will work only 30 hours this week(6 each day), so when he applies

Howdy, Stranger!
