Unexpected pattern in native column named "New Band".

Hi,

When selecting a new position to give a promotion in the "New Job Title" column to the employee in the plan: BR | CompCycle - Merit or Promotion CYCLE 1 - 2024, consequently it assigns a grade assigned to this position in the "New Band" column, however if the manager gives up giving promotion and returns the "New Job Title" column to the initial blank default, the grand continues with the previously selected value.

Please, how can we adjust this unexpected behavior of this column?
