OCI: How To Retrieve RPM Information Using RepoWatch

Goal

This document provides more details on how RepoWatch can be used to retrieve RPM information.

Solution

The RepoWatch uses the yum repo metadata to provide the details of the RPMs without downloading them.

Searching RPM
  1. Visit
  2. Click on the Operating System version and architecture. This opens up the search section on the right.
  3. In the search box, provide the package name to search. Optionally, click on the repository to list all the packages under it.
  4. Expand the RPM name to find the available versions. Click on the version to view the respective RPM information.
