How do I create an email verification for a newsletter sign-up?

Hi Eloqua community,

I want contacts who sign up to our newsletter to verify their sign-up to the newsletter. The process would look like this:

1. Contact signs-up to the newsletter with email address clicks submit
2. Contact gets an email asking them to 'verify email address'
3. After they click the button/link the user successfully gets added to the newsletter segment.
4. They get the newsletter email on the next send.

I'm having issues figuring out the backend process, do I have to use a multi-step campaign flow to carry this out or is it all done within the form processing steps.
