Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information): Oracle currently does not support individual piece part warranty under supplier warranty solution as per Oracle Documentation (Using Maintenance- Asset Supplier Warranty- Pg. no.141). Only the top-level asset warranty (supplier item) is supported. Any idea in which release the solution will be implemented? Our client currently has this business process:
Supplier Item purchased→ Contract created→ Supplier item used in building the Finished Goods (FG) in Manufacturing→ Sold to end-customer→ Base Warranty exists for FG→ End-customer registers complaint for faulty FG in Fusion Service→ Faulty FG received in Defective location→ Technician identifies the fault lies with Supplier item→ Suppier item is sent back to its original manufacturer for repair (PO created manually due to complications involved in Outside Processing Service)→ Suppier item repaired→ Since the item was under warranty so supplier only charges labor→ quotation received for repair by supplier→ quotation approval→ Another chargeable PO release→ Item received back into client's
