Will there be a Redwood equivalent of the Global search bar?

Hello,
We are in the process of performing a gap analysis, comparing Responsive UI pages with Redwood pages and I am trying to understand if the global search bar has a Redwood equivalent while being in any page. E.G: Viewing own Document Records. If yes what is the timeline for the implementation?
We have noticed that the bar is missing while in Redwood pages and also that if we are in the Home screen and searching via it, the results direct us to Responsive pages.
