Transfer of Maintenance Repair Cost to Inventory Average Cost

Summary:

Need to understand if the below use-case can be mapped for a Mining services company in Australia, who is on release 24B.

Customer has a maintenance asset (ex: Raise bore drilling machine) which has several sub assets (ex: Hydraulic cylinders) which forms part of the Asset hierarchy. The hydraulic cylinders are treated as Rotable assets, which can be repaired a few times before scrapped. They also keep brand new cylinders as spares in the inventory. All the cylinder Inventory Items are Serialized and we plan to maintain the valuation structure at Cost Org/ INV Org/ Serial level so that individual serial number can retain their own cost. (They use average costing).
