Actual use of VIEW-ONLY INDIVIDUAL COMPENSATION ROLE FOR APPROVER feature

Hi Everyone!

Would like to know about the actual use of this feature which was released in the 24 B.

VIEW-ONLY INDIVIDUAL COMPENSATION ROLE FOR APPROVER 


I removed Manage individual compensation role from the custom roles and added ORA_CMP_VIEW_INDIVIDUAL_COMPENSATION.

I tested it before adding ORA_CMP_VIEW_INDIVIDUAL_COMPENSATION and after adding ORA_CMP_VIEW_INDIVIDUAL_COMPENSATION. I could see no difference.

Approver was able to click on edit in the notification and eventually it takes to the ICP page of employee and allows to change the value even after adding ORA_CMP_VIEW_INDIVIDUAL_COMPENSATION. This was same even before adding ORA_CMP_VIEW_INDIVIDUAL_COMPENSATION this role.
