Salary Format :salary with decimals seperated by a point not a comma

Summary:

Hi Team

We have a request from customer asking to change salary field format from -1,234.567 to -1.234,567 . Can any one suggest how can we achieve this ? From Oracle docs , it refers to update profile option (FND_NUMBER_FORMAT) but we dont have option to edit and save . Can any one help us on how to update salary field Format to -1.234,567
