How to invoke external APIs from fusion HCM

Summary:

Hello All,

I have a requirement wherein an external API should be called from HCM fusion whenever an update happened to an employee record. The moment he/she submit/approve the update the API need to be invoked and updates should be flown to external system via the API. Is this possible? If not please suggest me the alternative approach.
