How do I update the default theme on OGL assets?

Summary:

I've changed the default theme to one of the seeded themes within the OGL Console, under Settings > Themes. I am not seeing the change reflected on any of my messages or guides. I have attempted to create a new guide to see if the updated theme would apply, however, that was unsuccessful. I understand custom themes need to be modified on the Design Kit file. This is not what I am attempting to do.
