Removing a joint owner from the Supplier's bank account

We have an issue where for Supplier "U" user has assigned a bank account xxxx2686 with primary owner as Supplier "U". Then they assigned the same bank account to this supplier again with this time primary owner as Supplier "U" but joint owner as Supplier "U Solutions". Then they added that bank account to Supplier "U Solutions" where primary owner is Supplier "U" but Supplier "U Solutions" is just a joint owner.
Now the requirement is they want to deactivate Supplier "U" from the bank account xxxx2686, and we are not able to do this. We did try every possible scenario we can think of.
