Custom HR Analyst Security Data Role unable to report in OTBI

Summary:

We have a data security role that worked previously but it no longer works, and unfortunately the person that created it is no longer with our organization. For the user in question, when assigned this role all reports and analyses are failing after spinning for a long time, with the error below. We removed the data security role from their profile and they were able to successfully run reports in a timely manner, so we've isolated the issue to the role in question. We also opened an SR but were directed here. Can someone review the custom criteria
