UK - Hours worked on the FPS

Summary:

The UK FPS has a field for "Hours Worked" which is derived from assignment hours. But for zero hours workers it should default to "E - Other".

Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):

The "Hours Worked" field on the FPS is calculated from an employee's working hours on their assignment. But if they have zero working hours on the assignment, this is populating the FPS with "A- Up to 15.99", rather than the required "E - Other" which is used for irregular hours workers.

  1. Is this intended behaviour? This isn't my understanding of the legislative requirement.
  2. Is there any way to automatically populate the field on the PAYE calculation card to "E - Other" for zero hours workers? This feels like a very manual exercise every time a non-salaried worker is set up on the system.

Howdy, Stranger!
