Eloqua Product Notice: Drop Redirect Links with Invalid Authentication Hashes [Aug 2024]

Overview

With an effort to enhance the protection of redirect links, Eloqua will be adding an authentication hash parameter to redirect links to prevent any unauthorized alterations and potential redirections to unwarranted websites. This functionality will be applied for all redirect links created after the Eloqua 24C release. 

What’s changing?

With the introduction of this new functionality as of Eloqua's 24C release, Eloqua will now:  

• Automatically generate and add an authentication hash parameter to redirect links at email send time and landing page load time 
• Automatically block requests with invalid authentication hashes 
• Prevent any redirect links from being altered externally
