TIP: Dynamic deep links / drilldowns on BIP report. Relative deeplink path.

You can use this trick to make your deeplinks working without instance hardcoding and make them working also on email templates and e.g. excel extracts.

Documentation typically advises you to add deep link as following:
https://<yourenvironmentpath>/fscmUI/faces/deeplink?objType=@{1}&action=@{2}&objKey=@{3}=@{4}

but here is the major problem:

By hardcoding the <yourenvironmentpath>, you will have the issue when moving your reports from one instance to another or having issue after cloning.. :(

To solve this issue you can just provide the link in the following format:

../../../../fscmUI/faces/deeplink?objType=@{1}&action=@{2}&objKey=@{3}=@{4}

Typically, we call this relative path. This will solve all your problems on BIP reports with deeplinking related to instance updates. Also this will work on Excels, Emails and so on, if you include deeplinks or other links to your reports.
