Automate Manage Approvals

My team uses the Manage Approvals process to lock data so that it can not be changed, and we are looking to automate the process. I cannot find any EPM REST APIs or EPM Automate commands to do this. Is there anything I'm missing, and/or is there a different way to automate this process?

As background, we primarily use Manage Approvals to lock data, and we do it at specific times. For example, if we load January FY24 Actual data for all entities between February 1 - February 3, then on February 4 we would want to create an approval unit for January/FY24/Actual/Total Geography, start it, and lock it. We would like to set up this process to be automatically triggered as soon as the data load process is completed.
