The assignment start date is not updated to new date once the offer is redrafted

The changed start date of the assignment/new hire do not reflect on the offer letter once the offer is redrafted. I'm using the Assignment_start_date field on the offer template. Is there any particular change that must be made to display this changed date?

P.S: The updated date is carried forward into HR. It is just not getting updated on the Offer Letter.
