How to setup a new element for State tax

Hello Experts

We need your help, we created a new element (vacation) this element will be consider in state tax process, the new element has been defined as Subject and assigned in the correct setup.
However the process is not considering the amount from this element for the state tax.
Could you give us some guide or support for this topic.
