Ability to use Date type DFFs in Procurement Approval Rules

Summary:

I am creating REQ Line DFFs to capture date information. When I create the REQ Approval Rules I want to use the date attribute as part of my conditions.

It appears DFFs configured with "date" data type are not available in the attributes for REQ Approval Rules. Is that expected functionality?

Shown below is the sample DFF setup using Date as the data type, notice the Table Column is ATTRIBUTE_DATE1

When reviewing the attributes available in the REQ approval rules the only types that are available are Line Number (Numeric Descriptive Flexfield attributes) and Line Text (Text Descriptive Flexfield attributes).
