Can a bind variable be passed as a value dynamically to the filter on the list page

While adding filter in list page we are able to give a alpha numeric value as a filter for a particular attribute. Can a bind variable or parameter be passed as a value dynamically to the filter on the list page of any object. example :- We have a open opportunities smart action on Account object when we click on that it will navigate to opportunities list page and display the only opportunity records associated with that particular account.
