OCI: How to Run Filesystem Check in rd.break Mode

GOAL

This document explains the steps to run filesystem check on root/other OS filesystems in rd.break mode without the need of ISO to boot into rescue mode.

SOLUTION

  1. While booting, interrupt the Grub2 menu by pressing ESC or any other key.
  2. Select the default boot entry and press "e" for editing. Follow any of the below method for further changes. 

Method 1:

  1. Select the line starts with linux16**** (or linuxefi**** for UEFI bios) and append "rd.break"
