Unable to deploy the redwood page customizations in separate projects

Summary: we are unable to deployment the redwood customization using multiple projects.

Example :

Project 1: Core HR

Project 2 : Compensation

When we deploy project2 the project1 objects are wiped out.

How do we avoid overriding project 1 ? Is there a way not redeploy all the objects for every deployment to target instance. ?
