Filtered Catalog Recommendation
Summary:
I was reviewing the OCC documentation related to catalog management and I found out that Oracle is now calling the existing Catalogs as Legacy Catalogs and recommending the Filtered Catalog instead. I have some questions about that.

I understand from the following documentation:
That having multiple catalogs are secondary catalogs and this is considered as "Legacy" and I understand that "Legacy" is something Oracle doesn't recommend. I know that, according to the documentation, we might face performance issues:
if each filtered view contains a large number of non-core products
So, I was wondering what is the Oracle recommendation. Considering the scenario where we are currently using catalogs per site and "persona" and region, so, we have a catalog for B2C, B2B, B2B EMEA and so on… based on this scenario, what would be the Oracle recommendation for the catalog structure based on the Filtered Catalog? What can we expect performance issues? If we can, how to avoid them? And what would be the main benefit by adopting to the Filtered Catalog.
