Effective date of Promotion (Grade change) is not equal to effective date of Salary change

edited Oct 3, 2024 5:03AM in Compensation 1 comment

Summary:

Hi Everyone,

Our customer has policy, Promotion effective start date is 30th June. Grade will be changed in the employment page on that date but when the employee is accepting the promotion, on that date only salary will be effective.

Promotion is given on 30th June. Employee accepts it on 2nd July only. Salary change effective start date will be 2nd July and Promotion(Grade change) effective start date will be 30th June.

In the change salary page, previous salary ends on 1 July(he is now in new grade, Grade in the change salary shows new grade). New salary starts on 2nd July where he is also in the new grade.
