Need to have the basic salary in simple components to reset to overall salary value for new salary

Summary:

Have a requirement when using salary basis with simple components. For every new salary change, the Basic salary should be the overall salary of the previous salary amount along with all the other components resetting to zero. Is there a way to accomplish this?

Currently:

1. Change Salary Date: 8/1

Basic Salary: 25000.00

Merit: 500.00

Adjustment: 100.00

Overall Salary: 25600.00

Expected:

2. Change Salary Date: 9/6

Basic Salary: 25600.00

Merit: 0.00

Adjustment: 200.00

Overall Salary: 25800.00
